We are dedicated in bring high quality authentic Native studies for educational purposes to correctly teach cultural diversity about our people.

 

During our program we teach the importance of:

 

*Note: We teach mainly about the Woodlands peoples', but due to core content and National standards as to help heighten what you are covering we do mention the Plains and Southwest peoples.

 

 * Oral traditions through storytelling

 * Social structures of the Woodlands, Plains and Southwest peoples'

 * Religious aspects

 * Tribal politics

 * Family structure

 * Economics (trade system)

 * Medicines: locating, preparations and uses

 * Food: gathering, hunting, preparation, cooking

 

   In addition to everything listed above, we come in full period dress.  

 

   We explain the importance of Native regalia and demonstrate many types of Native style dance. During the presentation, Anthony performs with many different traditional instruments such as rattles, flutes and hand drums and vocals. He explains the importance of music and song, why they were used in our traditions and culture, and why they still used today.

  

   We also offer the Indigenous Peoples' Sensory Museum that contains over 300 items that is completely sensory the children can touch everything in it! view more

 

Open Availability through September 2009 - 2010

General Assemblies: $1.00 per child with a minimum of 275 students

Workshops: $125.00 per hour

Residencies: Two (2) day $1100.00

             up to Five (5) day $2500.00
